Derek Block Recognized In Industry’s 2011 Power 50

The Advertising Specialty Institute announces 2011 Counselor Power 50 list of the industry’s most influential business leaders.
The 50 high-ranking leaders were recognized at the fifth annual ASI Power Summit in Dana Point, California, as the ones who drive the market, create new strategies, execute the latest trends and sway the industry. Their contributions impact the way distributors and suppliers do business.
“I am thrilled to be, again, recognized by ASI’s Counselor panel," stated Derek Block, Touchstone's CEO and recipient of Power 50 award. Block moves up one position this year to #48. "I believe in the work we do and we are truly a game changer amongst a sea of "me too" providers... so it's great to be recognized," added Block.
ABOUT ASI COUNSELOR POWER 50
“The Counselor Power 50 list highlights the movers and shakers in the ad specialty industry, the ones who create the buzz, drive the industry and push the business boundaries,” said Timothy M. Andrews, president and chief executive officer of ASI. The ranking is determined by a panel of editorial experts at the award-winning Counselor magazine. Using last year’s list as a starting point, the panel surveyed the industry at-large and each of the previous Power 50, asking them to rate whether each person has gained or lost influence over the past year, and to nominate new candidates. The panel also carefully weighed nominees’ achievements and revenue throughout the year and the health of their companies.
